Day 01 : Drive Rishikesh to Sari and Trek to Deoriatal; 192 km drive, 2.5 km trek.
The entire journey takes you through the mountain side, with the river Ganges flowing below you. You also get to witness the confluence of rivers Alaknanda and Bhagirathi to form river Ganges. Reaching Sari begin our adventure on a well-defined rock trail, with a gradual climb up the mountain. The uphill climb will bring you to the grand view of Deoriatal, with Chaukhamba massifs and other Himalayan peaks looming in the background. Camp beside Deoriatal for the night.
Day 02 : Trek Deoriatal to Chopta (2680m) via Rohini Bugyal; 14 km, 7 hour.
Rohini bugyal is a small meadow in between the chopta rhododendron forest. It has some amazing views of Kedar dome and Kala Parvat peaks. This part of the forest has some of the oldest oak, maple and rhododendron trees of the Kedarnath Sanctuary. Chopta known as the ‘Mini Switzerland’ of India is a pristine natural destination lying in the lap of Himalayas. It offers a scenic view of several Himalayan peaks namely Trishul, Nanda Devi, Chaukhamba and many more.
Day 03 : Trek Chopta to Chandrashila (3700m) via Tungnath and back to Chopta; 8 km, 4 hour.
The trek from chopta to Tungnath is a cemented trail which passes through a series of sharp scissor bends. Tungnath temple at 11,400 ft is the highest Shiva Temple in the world. A spectacular 360 degrees view of Garhwal and Kumaon mountains can be seen from the Chandrashila summit. One can have a clear view of several Himalayan peaks, namely Nanda Devi, Trishul, Nandaghunti, Kamet, Chaukhamba, Kedardome, Thalaysagar and Gangotri ranges. Sunrise from this spot is the best you will witness in Himalayas.
Day 04 : Drive Chopta to Rishikesh; 190 km, 6 hour.
Post breakfast board our awaiting vehicle and drive back to Rishikesh. Lunch on the way and trip finishes at Rishikesh.
