Day 01 : Drive Rishikesh to Raithal (2286m) via Uttarkashi; 223 km, 7 hour drive.
Raithal is a small village situated in Uttarkashi District of Uttarakhand State. The afternoon is yours to explore the nearby village and get a glimplse of the peaceful, untouched life of village people, a world far removed from modernity. Village kids scuttle about around their homes, while the women thrashing wheat while some tend to their cultivation. It is a fascinating moment for trekkers to witness such unseen events in a far away world. Overnight stay in tents or village guesthouse.
Day 02 : Trek Raithal to Dayara (3383m) via Ghuyin (2536m); 7-8 Km, 5 hour.
A gradual ascend of 4-5 km from Raithal leads to shepherd huts at Ghuyin, a quaint little hamlet straight out of a fantasy world. As you end the ascend at Dayara, the vast meadow unfolds in front of you with the mighty Himalayas looming in the background. Srikanth, Rudregaira, Gangotri I, II & III , Jaonli, Draupadi ka Danda, Black peak, Bandarpunch and many other unnamed peaks are visible from Dayara Bugyal meadow.
Day 03 : Trek Dayara Bugyal to Patanatuna (3,500m) via Siyari Bugyal; 7 km, 4 hour.
Post breakfast, we continue our exploration of this vast meadow. Today’s trek will take you through some of the unnamed, yet mesmerising sites. Starting from the Dayara Bugyal campsite, the fascinating trails will take you through Srikanth, Rudregaira, Jaloni, Black Peak, Gangothri-I,II and III, Bandarpunch and Draupadi ka Danda-I and II. Overnight stay in tents.
Day 04 : Trek Patanatuna to Gidara Bugyal (3,750m) and back; 10 km, 6 hour.
Start off late if the weather is nice and walk further to map the lengths and breadths of Gidara Bugyal. Witness the Himalayan range turning into golden hues during the sunset. Situated at 3750m above sea level, Gidara Bugyal is one of the hidden jewels of Garhwal Himalayas. After spending some quality time at Gidara, traverse back on the same route to Patanatuna.
Day 05 : Trek Patanatuna (3500m) to Barnala Tal; 9 km, 5 hour.
Today will be devoted towards the downhill trek to Barnala Campsite. An steady and gradual descend, the entire trek will take around 5-6 hours to complete. We spend the day exploring the area and check in to our jungle camps.
Day 06 : Trek Barnala Tal to Barsu (2256m) and Drive to Rishikesh; 3 km trek, 7 hour drive.
Barnala Tal offers one of the prettiest camping sites in the region. Post breakfast, we’ll descend to Barsu for the final stretch of our on foot excursion. The well marked downhill hike passes through the beautiful forest of oak, Cedar and rhododendron trees. After reaching Barsu, we board our awaiting vehicle to drive us back to Rishikesh. Lunch on the way and trip finishes at the arrival in Rishikesh.
