Day 01 : Drive Rishikesh to Joshimath (1890m). Rest and acclimatize.
On the first day of your trek, you’ll be driving from Rishikesh to Joshimath. The entire journey takes you through the mountain side, with the river Ganges flowing below you. You also get to witness the confluence of rivers Alaknanda and Bhagirathi to form river Ganges.
Day 02 : Drive to Dhak (2120m) and Trek to Guling (2997m); 12 km drive, 5 hour trek.
Drive early morning to a small village known as ‘Dhak‘.The well defined trail passes through some lush green step- farms, paddy rice fields and old wooden Himalayan houses. The ascending dirt trail traverse along the mountain ridge with a series of steep and gradual ascents and passes through dense forests of oak, deodar, and rhododendrons.
Day 03 : Trek Guling to Khulara (3198m); 6 km, 4 hour.
The trail leading into the forests is not as steep as it was yesterday. The vicinity is surrounded by dense mountain forests filled with rhododendrons, spruce, and silver birch. Trek through the trail to reach a wide clearing of our Khulara Campsite.
Day 04 : Trek Khulara to Pangarchula Peak Summit (4700m) and back to Tali; 17 km, 8-9 hour.
Start trek early at 4 in the morning to witness the sunrise of your lifetime. The route uphill is a gradual ascend with some occasional sharp bends. The breathtaking views of the several snow-clad Himalayan peaks in the morning hue is a treat to the eyes. Some of the major views from the Pangarchula summit includes of Nanda Ghunti, Trishul, Nanda Devi, Dunagiri, Hathi-Ghodi Parvat, Mana, Kamet, Neelkanth and Chaukhamba massifs and many more. Take the same route backwards and camp at Tali for overnight stay.
Day 05 : Trek Tali to Auli (2629m) and Drive to Joshimath; 4 hour trek, 16 km drive.
A moderate climb to Tali lake will bring you to the other side of the forest. Traversing a narrow ridge with some moderate ascent will land you at Gorson bugyal, another gem of a place in this trek. The next 5 km of this bugyal will show you the stunning views of Vasudhara falls, Mana, Hathi-Ghodi Peak, Barmal, Lampak Massif, Dunagiri, Nanda-Devi, and Bertholi. Pass through the oak forest, reach Auli Ski Resort and drive to Joshimath for overnight stay.
Day 06 : Drive Joshimath to Rishikesh; 255 km, 7-8 hour.
Today we board our awaiting vehicle to drive us back to Rishikesh. Lunch on the way and trip finishes at the arrival in Rishikesh.
