Itinerary

Day 1 Day 1: 1 1 Delhi to Haridwar (240 km | 4–5 Hours Drive)

Upon arrival at Delhi Airport, our tour representative will welcome you, assist with your luggage, and provide an overview of your Char Dham Yatra itinerary, including travel tips, schedule, and important local customs.

Begin your journey by road to Haridwar, enjoying the scenic drive of approximately 240 km (4–5 hours). On arrival, check in to your hotel and relax.

Evening Activity: Visit the Mansa Devi Temple and witness the Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri, a spiritually uplifting ritual performed on the banks of the holy Ganges.

Haridwar is one of India’s most sacred towns, renowned for its temples, ghats, and the holy river Ganga. The evening Ganga Aarti is a mesmerizing spiritual experience for pilgrims and travelers alike.

Day 2 Day 2: 2 2 Haridwar to Barkot via Dehradun & Mussoorie

After breakfast (packed breakfast will be provided), check out from the hotel and drive to Barkot via Dehradun and Mussoorie.

Enroute: Stop at the famous Kempty Falls near Mussoorie for sightseeing and photography. Continue through scenic valleys to Barkot.

Barkot is a picturesque town in Uttarakhand and serves as the base for the Yamunotri trek, surrounded by dense forests and the Himalayan ranges.

Day 3 Day 3: 3 3 Barkot to Yamunotri Excursion (6 km Trek)

After breakfast (packed breakfast provided), drive to Jankichatti / Phoolchatti, the starting point of the trek to Yamunotri Dham.

Trek: 6 km to Yamunotri, which can be done on foot, pony, or doli (at own cost).

Activities at Yamunotri:

Take a holy dip in Jamunabai Kund, a natural hot water spring.

Cook rice in the kund’s hot water, which is taken home as Prasad.

Perform Darshan of Goddess Yamuna (Yamunaji).

Return to Barkot for dinner and overnight stay.

Key Sites:

Hanuman Chatti: Confluence of Hanuman Ganga and Yamuna River.

Yamunotri Temple: Built in the 19th century by Maharani Gularia of Jaipur.

Surya Kund: Hot water thermal springs near the temple.

Divya Shila: Sacred rock worshipped before temple entry.

Day 4 Day 4: 4 4 Barkot to Uttarkashi

Morning after breakfast, drive to Uttarkashi.

Evening Activity: Visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of Uttarkashi’s most revered temples.

About Uttarkashi:
Located on the banks of the Bhagirathi River, Uttarkashi is known for its ancient temples, including Ekadash Rudra, Bhairav, Gyaneshwar, and Kuteti Devi, and serves as a gateway to Gangotri.

Day 5 Day 5: 5 5 Uttarkashi to Gangotri (3,048 m)

After a packed breakfast, drive to Gangotri, stopping at Gangnani to take a holy dip in the Garam Kund. Continue through the scenic Harsil Valley, known for its majestic Deodar forests and Himalayan peaks.

Activities at Gangotri:

Take a sacred dip in the Bhagirathi River.

Perform Darshan and Pooja at Gangotri Temple.

Explore the tranquil surroundings before returning to Uttarkashi.

About Gangotri:
Gangotri is the origin of the holy River Ganga, located at 3,048 meters in the Garhwal Himalayas. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Ganga and is a major highlight of the Char Dham Yatra.

Day 6 Day 6: 6 6 Uttarkashi to Guptkashi via Moolgarh & Lambgaon

After breakfast, drive to Guptkashi, passing through Moolgarh and Lambgaon.

Enroute: Stop at Tilwara to admire the Mandakini River, flowing from Kedarnath.

Visit Ardh Narishwar Temple in Guptkashi before checking into your hotel.

A spiritual town in the Rudraprayag district, Guptkashi is famous for its ancient temples and serves as a base for the Kedarnath trek.

Day 7 Day 7: 7 7 Trek to Kedarnath (3,584 m)

Early morning drive to Gaurikund, the starting point of the 16 km trek to Kedarnath Temple. Trek on foot or hire a pony/doli (at own cost).

At Kedarnath:

Check in at the hotel and freshen up.

Perform Darshan and Pooja at Kedarnath Temple.

Visit the Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi behind the temple.

About Kedarnath Temple:
Situated at 3,584 meters on the banks of the Mandakini River, the temple was built by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century. It is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and is surrounded by snow-capped peaks.

Day 8 Day 8: 8 8 Buffer at Sitapur (3,584 m)

Optional Visit: Shri Triyugi Narayan Temple (extra charges) for additional sightseeing if staying nearby.

Day 9 Day 9: 9 9 Drive to Badrinath (3,133 m)

After breakfast, drive to Shri Badrinath. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel.

Activities:

Holy bath in Tapt Kund, the natural thermal spring.

Darshan of Badrivishal and evening Aarti.

Visit Brahmakapal for Pind Daan rituals for ancestors.

Explore nearby attractions: Mana Village, Vyas Gufa, Mata Murti Temple, Charanpaduka, and Bhimkund.

About Badrinath:
Located between the Nar and Narayan ranges, at the base of Nilkantha Peak, Badrinath is one of the four Char Dham sites, dedicated to Lord Vishnu.

Day 10 Day 10: 10 10 Badrinath to Rudraprayag / Joshimath / Pipalkoti

Morning drive to Rudraprayag, stopping at Narsingh Temple in Joshimath.

Check-in: Pipalkoti / Joshimath / Srinagar / Rudraprayag

Overnight Stay: Rudraprayag / Joshimath / Pipalkoti

About Rudraprayag:
Rudraprayag is the confluence of Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers, one of the five sacred Prayags of Uttarakhand.

About Narsingh Temple:
An ancient shrine dedicated to Lord Vishnu, where the Badrinath idol is worshiped during winter.

Day 11 Day 11: 11 11 Haridwar to Delhi – Departure

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive back to Delhi. On arrival, transfer to the airport or railway station for your onward journey.

This concludes your spiritual Char Dham Yatra, a journey through India’s holiest Himalayan shrines.
