The Adi Kailash Yatra takes pilgrims to Adi Kailash (6,191 m), revered as the abode of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, and Om Parvat, where the natural snow formation resembles the sacred 鈥淥m鈥 symbol. Starting from Kathgodam (gateway to Kumaon), the yatra passes through scenic Himalayan villages, rivers, and valleys. It is a blend of spirituality, adventure, and natural beauty, offering darshan at temples and breathtaking views of the Himalayas.
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Pick-up from Kathgodam railway station.
Drive to Pithoragarh (approx. 8鈥9 hrs).
Overnight stay in Pithoragarh.
Pithoragarh 鈫 Dharchula
Drive to Dharchula, a border town on the Kali River.
Permit formalities for restricted area entry.
Overnight stay in Dharchula.
Dharchula 鈫 Gunji
Drive through Chaukori and Kalapani valley.
Reach Gunji village (base for Adi Kailash & Om Parvat).
Overnight stay in Gunji.
Gunji 鈫 Om Parvat Darshan 鈫 Gunji
Excursion to Om Parvat, where snow forms the sacred 鈥淥m鈥 symbol.
Return to Gunji for overnight stay.
